Role Overview:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Structural Engineer to join the team. This is a full-time, suited to a proactive engineer with strong technical skills and a collaborative approach. The successful candidate will be responsible for structural design and analysis, overseeing drawing production, and coordinating with clients, architects, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Due to the company’s strategic growth plans and expanding project portfolio, senior-level candidates based in Manchester or Birmingham will also be considered. This reflects the consultancy’s forward-looking approach and commitment to building capability in key UK regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake structural calculations and analysis across various materials including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
- Produce and revise structural designs in line with relevant regulations and standards
- Coordinate with the CAD team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of technical drawings
- Liaise directly with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure coordinated project execution
- Conduct site inspections and structural assessments when required
- Ensure compliance with all applicable design codes, including British Standards and Eurocodes
Candidate Requirements:
- Degree-qualified in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
- Proficient in structural analysis and calculation methodologies
- Experienced in using CAD software; familiarity with BIM workflows is advantageous
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communicator with the ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience across a variety of project types and sectors is desirable
- Senior candidates should demonstrate leadership ability, client management skills, and experience mentoring junior staff
