NSB Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Sustainability Consultant working for one of the most highly regarded award-winning building services engineering.

The role is based across UK offices, and they are looking for someone to work from their Edinburgh, London, Bristol, Manchester or Cambridge office.

Our clients Sustainability team leads on sustainability strategies and assessment, net zero carbon services, building performance, lifecycle carbon analysis and wellbeing. They are at the forefront of delivering lifecycle carbon, circular economy, and net zero carbon services within the industry. They believe that delivering real sustainable change means tailoring analysis and advice to influence the specific design on a given project.

The Senior Sustainability Consultant is involved in winning work, and leading on developing, governing and delivering sustainability strategies from inception through to hand over, for buildings and or portfolios. The work will involve a good working knowledge of sustainability assessment methods and their advantages, embodied carbon and net zero carbon to inform strategic approaches.

The Senior Sustainability Consultant will be sharing their knowledge across the practice and supporting and training more junior members of the team.

Ideally You Will Have the Following

  • 4-8 years’ experience of sustainability consultancy in the built environment.
  • Knowledge of BREEAM or other environmental assessment methods such as Home Quality Mark or LEED, Living Building Challenge, NABERS etc
  • Knowledge of net zero carbon and carbon benchmarks and embodied carbon analysis
  • Setting and delivering sustainability strategies for new projects or portfolios
  • Experience of sustainable Masterplanning & managing multiple projects
  • Experience of structuring and writing design reports & being in a client facing role

Additional desirable experience:

  • Experience in undertaking Life Cycle Carbon Analysis & in developing Circular Economy strategies
  • Experience of WELL and Fitwel and other experience of designing for Wellbeing
  • Chartered Environmentalist
  • Qualified BREEAM Assessor or AP
  • Experience of Passivhaus & the whole construction process
