NSB Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for an experienced passionate Senior Ecologist to spearhead key projects and drive environmental excellence. Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Lead and coordinate technical aspects of bat monitoring projects, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Drive the technical quality of surveys, analysis, and reporting, while maintaining compliance with ecological legislation.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to achieve environmental protection goals and deliver exemplary outcomes for our clients.
  • Mentor and manage junior staff, fostering a culture of growth and development within the team.
  • Engage in business development activities, advocating for our services and contributing to bid preparation.
  • Champion our capabilities internally and externally, promoting our services to clients and stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Hold a degree in Ecology, Environmental Management, or related field, with membership or eligibility to join the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in UK consultancy, with a focus on infrastructure projects and bat ecology.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Show proficiency in data management, wildlife legislation, ecological survey methods, and mitigation measures.
  • Hold a full UK driver's license and have expertise in bat sound analysis and GIS skills.
