Are you an experienced Air Quality Consultant ready to take the next step in your career? Whether you're operating at Senior or Principal level—or a capable Consultant looking to accelerate your progression—this is a rare opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading independent air quality consultancies.
With an impressive client base, a strong pipeline of work, and a culture centred around growth, quality, and collaboration, this specialist consultancy offers the perfect environment for ambitious professionals to thrive.
The Opportunity
You’ll join a well-established and growing team delivering technically robust and commercially valuable consultancy to clients across sectors such as land development, infrastructure and industry. Projects range from single-source dispersion studies to complex multi-source emission modelling and compliance assessments.
You’ll take ownership of a varied portfolio, managing and delivering air quality, GHG and odour assessments, ambient and indoor air quality monitoring campaigns, and technical reports. You’ll be key to ensuring quality, meeting client expectations, and supporting business development.
For more experienced applicants, this is a genuine opportunity to influence company strategy and direction, including mentoring junior team members, inputting into operational decisions and helping drive commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage technical delivery of air quality, odour, dust, GHG and bioaerosol assessments.
- Carry out dispersion modelling (ADMS Roads & ADMS 5) for transport and industrial sources.
- Oversee air quality monitoring campaigns and produce high-quality technical reports.
- Provide senior-level project and client management, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
- Support and mentor junior consultants, promoting professional development within the team.
- Contribute to business development, including tender writing, client liaison and marketing activity.
- Play a key role in shaping the future growth of the consultancy.
What We’re Looking For
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in UK air quality consultancy (we’re open to more or slightly less if you bring strong potential).
- Excellent understanding of UK air quality legislation, guidance, and modelling methodologies.
- Strong project management capability—from proposal to invoice.
- Effective communicator with solid technical writing and client-facing skills.
- A proactive attitude, with the desire to grow technically and commercially.
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., IAQM, IEMA).
- A full UK driving licence.
Experience in line management, financial oversight, or business planning would be a bonus but is not essential—what matters most is your ambition, commitment, and ability to make a difference.
What’s On Offer
- Competitive salary and bonus scheme.
- Flexible and hybrid working options.
- Clear and rapid progression pathway.
- Fully funded quarterly team social events.
- Cycle to work scheme, sabbaticals, and employee referral scheme.
- A genuinely collaborative, supportive, and forward-thinking culture.
