NSB Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading environmental consultancy to recruit a Remediation Project Manager to join a growing specialist team.
These opportunities primarily fall into four key service areas:
- Contaminated land and groundwater remediation
- Invasive plant species eradication, primarily Japanese Knotweed
- Hazardous waste treatment and re-classification
- PFAS remediation techniques and solutions
To support this growth across England & Wales, they are seeking a Remediation Project Manager to join their operational team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of remediation projects across these regions.
You will play a vital role in ensuring our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest environmental and safety standards. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business and be part of a dynamic team tackling complex environmental challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end delivery of remediation projects, including planning, site management, and post-project review
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, permits, and environmental guidance
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, regulators, and internal teams to ensure projects meet scope, timelines, and quality standards
- Prepare and manage project documentation, including method statements, risk assessments, and technical reports
- Monitor budgets, resources, and project milestones, identifying and mitigating risks
- Support pre-project estimating and tendering processes in collaboration with the commercial and estimating teams
- Oversee health & safety performance and ensure robust site practices
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation across remediation techniques, including the application of in-house and trademarked solutions
- Assist in training and mentoring junior team members
You will have:
- Proven experience delivering environmental remediation or ground engineering projects
- Strong knowledge of contaminated land legislation, remediation techniques, and relevant environmental standards
- Project management skills, including experience managing budgets, contractors, and multiple sites
- Effective communicator with the ability to build strong client and team relationships
- Comfortable working independently and managing remote projects across England and Wales
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ideally project or site management software
