This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious Geo-Environmental/ Contaminated Land Consultant looking to accelerate their career by joining this highly regarded National and International Consultancy. With ambitious plans for further growth, this is an interesting time to join my client’s UK team in their Nottingham office (other UK locations considered).

Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Performing Phase I assessments, audits and desktop studies
- Safe delivery of site investigations on brownfield sites, both active and vacant.
- Supervision of specialist subcontractors – drilling companies and plant operators.
- Geological logging, performing field testing and gathering field data during investigations.
- Sampling of soils, groundwater and ground gases & environmental monitoring.
- Have strong technical writing, data management, organizational and communication skills.
- Support the tendering team in preparing proposals and site investigation specifications.
- Manage tasks and projects.
- Apply quality assurance and quality control processes.
- Mentoring junior staff & client liaison
Ideally You Will Have the Following
- A good honours degree in a relevant subject & a relevant scientific background in Geology, Environmental Sciences, Hydrogeology, Geological Engineering, or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Working towards full membership of a relevant institution (CIWEM, IEMA, IEnvSc, Geological Society, RSC or equivalent) and considering chartership in the future
- Experience in the delivery of site investigations and supervision of subcontractors.
- Soil logging experience.
- Experienced in the use of field equipment – PID, gas analyser, interface probes, hand shear vane etc.
- Commercial outlook
